I wanted to start this blog to list things I have learned over the years on how to live well but still not spending a ton of money. I look for ways to save money in almost every aspect of life.
Here are just some of the few things I can think of right now
The Library - it is a great resource of free items. Our family does not rent or buy DVDs anymore because we borrow them from the library. The more popular movies have a long waiting list but we don't mind waiting. The library has tons of CDs also that we can borrow. And of course books. I've been taking my two little girls to the library since they could walk. The LOVE books and there is just no way we can afford to buy all the books they want to read. So we borrow all the books we love and read them before going on to the next set of books they love :-) We LOVE the library
Shopping Frugally - I frequently shop at grocery stores and drugstores but I don't spend very much because I wait for the best sales and combine them with coupons. And you'll be surprised how many FREE items are being offered at the drugstores on a weekly basis - and you don't even need a coupon! I will post these offers as often as I can on this blog.
Gas - We signed up with a gas station credit card and have 5% of our previous month's gas purchases credited back to our bill every month. And of course, we try to fill up only at the lowest price and nearby locations for that gas company! It definitely adds up!
